FSMFD Respond To Polk Street School With Smoke From The Building 11/4/20

yesterday evening the Franklin Square, Mountain fire department responded to an Automatic Alarm at The Polk Street School. Upon arrival by the Chiefs they found heavy smoke in the basement. The alarm was upgraded and Automatic Mutual aid was requested. Upon searching the basement the Chiefs found a commercial grade dehumidifier on fire. The fire was extingushed and smoke was vented by crews. Thank you to Malverne Fire Department & Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department for the assistance.
