On Sunday morning the members of Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department responded as mutual aid to Floral Park with Hook & Ladder 713. Members operated on the scene of a multiple alarm fire in a one-story commercial building made up of various local businesses. It took over one hundred firefighters from multiple fire departments several hours to bring the fire under control as their efforts were hampered by aged building construction, natural gas fed fire and other obstacles.
